Guess what? My birthday is on the 10th!!! I will be 19 years old! My sister's birthday is on the 9th and she will be 21. She's finally going to be old enough to legally drink and she doesn't care about drinking. I guess thats good though. I'm so excited that i'm leaving on the 11th to fly out to see my man. I got my hair done. I dyed it a brown/redish color. I've never had red in my hair but it looks really nice. Also, I got a new bag yesterday so now I will have a nice bag to travel with that can hold my laptop and some other stuff. Last time I flew to D.C. I had a big backpack stuffed with stuff and I had a laptop bag so when I was walking around the airports I had to carry heavy bags everywhere.
Well, I still have a bunch of money right now and I think I am just going to save it instead of buying a car. BUT... a Playstation 3 is SSOOO tempting! My boyfriend has one and if I get one we can play games online together. I get free game rentals where I work so thats really convenient. I have over $3,000. It's SO hard to not spend it.
When it comes to the site and updates I haven't done much. A new hostee is moving in right now. I will let you all know who she is and what her URL is once she moves in. I hope you all had a happy valentines day! My boyfriend, Warren, got me a new ring from Kay Jewlers! It's white gold and has three diamonds on it. He also got me a cute lion stuffed animal. I wish I could have spent it with him but he's in Maryland and i'm in Iowa. Plus, I had to work anyway. :(
I am looking at my money situation and I am going to try and get a new car sometime soon. I have a bunch of money coming in right now from taxes, financial aid from school, my paycheck, my mom is finally going to pay me back some money she owes me, and my birthday is next month so maybe some birthday money. If I can get around $2000 out of my current car and if I can get a loan for about $1000 I will have around $6000 to put towards getting a newer car. I REALLY want to get a Chevy Cobalt! Someone actually had one in the swap sheet for only $7000! It's gone now though... :(
My car is a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire. It's a good car. It runs fine and stuff but there are a couple things about it that just make me want a newer car. My car's gas gage doesn't work. I have run out of gas a couple of times because of not knowing how much gas I have. The speakers are kinda blown. The cigarette lighter doesn't work so I can't use my car charger for my phone. It doesn't have cruise control. It's basic so no power windows or locks. Yea, I want a newer car, lol.
I ended up buying a ticket to go out to Maryland next month! I am going to be up there from the 11th to the 24th of March! I can't wait to see my man! The only thing that kinda sucks is that his grandma will be up there this time so we wont really have any alone time.

Well, I finally did it! I made a new layout all with CSS and most everything should be in valid XHTML. I'm sure not every page will validate. I still have to check them all. If you find any problems on any pages PLEASE let me know! As of right now my site is viewing perfectly in Firefox, IE7 and IE6. I'm not sure about any other browsers. If you are using a different browser could you let me know if it's showing properly? Thanks! There is only one more thing I need to fix. When I made those clocks that you can use I made them when I used Internet Explorer. They are not positioned right in firefox. I am going to redo the coding for the clocks in the next couple of days.
If you read the blog post right before this one than here are the updates on my grandpa. Everything went as planned and he is back home. He is on pain medication and cannot go anywhere or drive for a while. He is back to normal for the most part. He is not allowed to bend over or to lift anything more than 10 pounds. But, all in all he is doing great after going through what he went through.
I'm planning on going out to Maryland again next month for spring break. I going to find out tonight from my boss if I can get time off work. I want to go out there from the 12th to the 23rd. The new Smash Bro's game for the Wii comes out March 9th. My birthday is March 10th so my boyfriend wants to get me the game for my birthday! If I am going to go out there to see him on the 12th then he can give it to me when I get out there and we can start playing it together! Yay!
My boyfriend Warren and I have been thinking about our future. He will be done with school in about a year and then he can move out here. I have been looking at maybe trying to move to Illinois around Chicago because I can't stand to stay here in Iowa. This town is way too small for me and we want to live in a more diverse place. Warren is going to school for architecture and he wants to further his education. There is a architecture school in Illinois that has a bachelors degree program. Who knows, maybe we will move there in the future and we will call it home.
I feel like I can never get a break from stuff being hectic and bad things happening. Let me explain. Firstly, I have been working a TON of hours for the past two weeks. I also started school again on the 14th. I have four webdesign classes that I am taking this semester and one of them starts at 8 a.m. My college is about 40 minutes away. So, yea, I gotta get up pretty early. Anyway, school and work have been taking up a lot of my time lately.
Now to the bad stuff. I was at work on thursday and I answer the phone and it's my mom. She told me that my grandpa (her dad) was in the hospital. I instantly got a lump in my throat and was on the virge of tears. My grandpa went in for a physical and they noticed he had a heart murmur (when your heart is beating irregularly). They took a look at him and discovered that the artery to his heart was totally blocked. He has been extremely lucky that he hasn't suffered a heart attack. They tried inserting a "stent" (A tube designed to be inserted to keep it open) and it didn't work. His heart stopped and they had to shock him with a defibrillator three times to bring him back. He was scheduled for bypass surgery the next morning.
Meanwhile, i'm at work and i'm freaking out. My co-worker the happened to walk in and I told him what was going on and he totally understood that I needed to leave and he stayed there to cover for me. I went to the hospital and got to spend some time with my grandpa the night before the surgery. Well, he got through the surgery just fine and we got to see him afterwards and he had a tube down his throat and boy he did NOT like that tube, lol. After the finally took it out he was able to talk. We said goodnight and came home. I heard that they made him get up and walk around today. I'm going to drive up and see him tomorrow morning. I love my grandpa so much and i'm really close with him so it really scared me when i heard the news. Please, keep him in your prayers and pray he stays strong and heals up nicely.
Now that I am done talking about all of that I would like to say that I am going to redo my site. I am going to redo a TON of coding so that everything is in valid XHTML. I want a nice simple layout and I really want to blog more. I'll start working on things tomorrow. I'm going to go ahead and go to bed now. Goodnight everyone!
